“An excellent place to live, work and play”
Cutler Bay (formerly Cutler Ridge) is Miami’s youngest suburb, only incorporated since 2005. The town’s borders extend from SW 184th Street (Eureka Dr) from the turnpike east to Biscayne Bay, and north of SW 224th Street. While it was only incorporated recently the area has quite a history. It was originally settled by William C. Cutler in the 1870s. Native Americans living in South Florida back then referred to the area as the Big Hunting Grounds. It remained mostly rural and agricultural land until the 1950s when David Blumberg started developing the area, naming many of the local streets after holidays and ports of call he visited as a sailor. Currently, Cutler Bay is home to well over 40,000 residents.
Local neighborhoods are established over the extensive canal system as well as brand new developments established over the past several years, featuring fantastic amenities and beautiful homes with Mediterranean-inspired architecture.
