Ben Sheppard Elementary
Neighborhood: Hialeah Gardens
Grades: pre K – 5
Student-to-teacher ratio: 14:1

Serving grades pre K – 5, Ben Sheppard Elementary is located in Hialeah Gardens, northwest of MIA. The school offers a magnet STEM program with an emphasis on developing students’ ability to communicate about sciences, both verbally and in writing.
Coral Reef Senior High School

Coral Reef High School is a top rated school which is known as Miami’s “Mega Magnet School” since it offers six different magnet programs including:

Coral Reef is located in Richmond Heights, just west of Palmetto Bay.
iPrep Academy
Neighborhood: Edgewater
Grades: pre K – 12

iPrep Academy is ranked 18th out of 138 high schools in Florida by US News. iPrep Academy offers three magnet programs:
- International Education Global Focus (9 -12)
- International Education Global Focus (6 – 8)
- International Education Global Focus (pre K – 5)
The magnet programs integrate the study of language, literature, history, people and the arts to develop an understanding of intercultural relations. Its High School located just north of the Arsht Center.
Marine Academy of Science and Technology Academy (MAST @ FIU)
Neighborhood: North Miami
Grades: 9 – 12

Ranked #7th in Florida schools by US News & World Report, MAST @ FIU is the only university-based public school in Florida. Located on Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay campus, MAST @ FIU offers four magnet programs:

- Cambridge International – STEM (9 – 12)
- Maritime & Science Technology (9 – 12)
Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary
Neighborhood: Miami Shores

Located in Miami Shores (just north of Little Haiti), Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary offers a Montessori magnet program that won the 2023 Merit School of Distinction award.
Terra Environmental Research Institute
