Here in Miami, we will gladly take any opportunity to celebrate, and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception. One of the many benefits of living in such a huge, iconic city is that there’s plenty of events for adults and families alike. We’ve got it all: from street festivals to bar crawls to U2 cover bands.
Here are some of the best St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Miami-Dade County, beginning with family-friendly options:
It doesn’t get more Irish (or Irish-American to be more precise) than legendary punk band the Dropkick Murphy’s. The Massachusetts-based crew will be bringing their St. Patrick’s Day Tour 2025 to The Fillmore Miami Beach on Friday, March 7. Why go to a karaoke bar when you can hear hundreds of people belting out “I’m Shipping Up to Boston!” at the top of their lungs?
Guests are in for a real treat, because opening up for the Dropkicks will be two more veterans of the game: The Menzingers from Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming’s Teenage Bottlerocket, both of which have been flying the punk flag for more than 20 years. In addition to their classics, you’ll also hear some new tunes from the Dropkick Murphy’s album, “Sirens,” slated for release later this year.
Head on down to Coral Gables to find John Martin’s classic Irish pub. Try a special St. Patrick’s Day drink or bite, like the Shamrock Shake, Guinness-glazed meatballs, or Irish whiskey chicken. The 32nd annual John Martin’s St. Patrick’s Street Festival will return on Saturday, March 15th starting at 2pm. Don’t miss out on the festivities with live music, drinks, food, games and more.
Head on over to Miami Beach Marina on Wednesday, March 19, where you can board a luxury yacht along with anyone looking for a more upscale, low-key St. Paddy’s celebration.
From 12pm until 2pm, you’ll enjoy mimosas, yoga classes, and professional photography on behalf of Miami-based modeling studio One Model Place. Trust us, it’s hard to resist taking advantage of the latter feature when the iconic Miami skyline is your background.
