Great Activities to Do with the Whole Family This Fall

After a year of being inside the house, it definitely feels like a breath of fresh air to go out with your family and enjoy the fall in Miami. And while being indoors in public settings might still seem a little strange right now, there are plenty of outdoor activities that are happening all around Miami that will keep the kids entertained and the adults at peace. Here are our top three.

1. Zoo Miami—South Miami Heights
Whether it is your first time or 100th time, Zoo Miami is a wonderful place to take the whole family. The only subtropical zoo in the continental US, Zoo Miami offers nearly 750 acres of land and is home to over 3,000 animals. Kids and adults alike will love to see the elephants, rhinos and hippos, gorillas, crocs, and more. Don’t forget to ride the monorail to exhibits, get in the splash pad, or take a spin on the carousel. It can be a full day of fun!

2. Coconut Grove
Coconut Grove has so much to offer and especially for the whole family. A local favorite – especially for weekend brunch – head over to GreenStreet Café for a bite. Afterward, you can go to Peacock Park where your kids can play and enjoy a beautiful waterfront scenery that promises a few boat sightings along the way. If you head out without the kids at night, grab a cocktail at an outdoor table at Glass & Vine and soak in the Miami weather and a bit of freedom while you’re at it.

3. Venetian Pool—Coral Gables
Have you ever been to the Venetian pool? If the answer is no, then this is one place that you have to go to. It’s crazy when we hear Miami natives still have not checked this one off their bucket list. Since we all know that Miami does not get very cold at any point in the year, this pool is perfect for a fall activity. Not your average public pool; this pool is included in the National Register of historic places. You can expect fresh water that is daily drained and replenished from artisan wells and beautiful Mediterranean architecture. The best part? Your whole family can go (open to kids 3 and up). The fun is limitless.

Get outside this season. You deserve it.
