Spooky season is here! Some of our favorite places in Miami love to celebrate Halloween and offer some great events. Whether you’re looking for a family friendly festival or an adult outing Miami has it.
Trick or Treat Village of Pinecrestis a free and family friendly event. They’ll have tricks, treats, and safe, spooky surprises in store. Bring your little ghouls and goblins along with their own bags to collect treats between 5-7pm Friday, October 27th. Then stick around for a movie in the park starting at 7:30.
Halloween in the Grove claims the title of Miami’s best “all grown up” Halloween party. This ticketed event is 21+ only. The 2023 theme promises an immersive vampire experience, but not a lot of details. Which seems like what actual vampires might do to lure in victims – we doubt that’s the case, but it is a spooky thought.
Halloween Spook-tacular Celebration – Miami-Dade Public Libraries invite you to the Coral Reef Branch for this free event. Enjoy a boo-tiful afternoon of Halloween songs, not-so-scary stories, and more. Bring your little ghouls and goblins in costume if they want to participate in the costume contest! October 28th from 2pm to 3:30pm.
Howl-O-Weenis a great way to celebrate the spooky season with your four-legged friends. Pinecrest Gardens will be your host for an afternoon of Halloween fun Saturday, October 14 from 11am-4pm. They’ll have a Doggie Fun Zone agility course, a pumpkin patch for those epic fall family photos, and plenty of vendor booths to peruse. If your dog loves to be best dressed don’t miss the dog costume contest! This is a ticketed event with a portion of the proceeds benefiting PAWS4you Rescue.
Halloween at the Biltmore! 2023 marks the 10th annual Biltmore Halloween party and they’re going all out. Dinner, dancing, open bar, costume contest with multiple categories – it’s going to be a hauntingly great time! This is a ticketed event, and tickets must be purchased in advance. Also, remember this one is 21+, so find a sitter for the kiddos on October 20th. Festivities start at 8pm & don’t forget to make reservations if you just prefer to take the elevator home.
Prefer to do something more active for Halloween? Miami Beach is holding a Half Marathon and Freaky 4-Miler. If you want a chance to make room for your trick or treat candy with a run this is it! This is a Halloween themed run, so have some fun planning your running costume! All finishers will get a Halloween medal to commemorate the event. October 28ththe half marathon starts at 6:30am, and the 4-miler at 6:45am. Event organizers recommend arriving early to be sure you have time to find parking & get to the starting line on time.
As for trick-or-treating – we are always asked what neighborhoods are the best for trick or treating. If you want to see massive crowds of kids, Mango Terrace in South Miami is a great option, but the real answer is your neighborhood. Getting out and meeting your neighbors as your kids are running house to house trick-or-treating is simply the best option on the table.
Whatever event you choose stay safe and have fun. Enjoy our local neighborhoods and their unique communities. If you have questions about any Miami neighborhoods or real estate The Kern Team is here to help, give us a call.
