Pinecrest is a beautiful and charming village in Miami-Dade county. It’s a quiet community with less than 20,000 residents (as of the 2010 census). Perfect for families and people who want to be near the city but prefer a more serene atmosphere, Pinecrest has great schools and a highly desired location. One of our favorite destinations in Pinecrest? Pinecrest Gardens, once known as Parrot Jungle and Gardens, which was one of the first tourist attractions in Miami. It’s really something to see, with over 1,000 varieties of exotic plants and trees, streams, caves and fissures. Last month, the Village of Pinecrest saw the lowest number of homes for sale than it has in any month in over a year. There were 111 single family homes for sale in Pinecrest in November. Many of you will remember the Fuddruckers that was located on the corner of SW 104 Street, and US 1. For a number of years, that was the staple location for gatherings after little league games, school performances, and sporting events. When the Fuddruckers was converted to Amos Sports Grill, and later Betty’s Best Burgers, customers were heartbroken to learn that the building would finally close its doors permanently in 2011. Not to worry burger fans, the “World’s Greatest Hamburger” is making a comeback! A new Fuddruckers has been in the works in Palmetto Bay for quite some time.
