Every February, in the eclectic and vibrant city of Coconut Grove, South Florida residents look forward to an international gathering of artists, vendors, musicians for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. This time of year provides a perfect Florida day for a fun, family event. Who: Over 360 artists and craftsmen wil have their works on display in various tents. What: The cost for admission is $10 per day, children under 12 years old are free. (For Grove residents with valid ID, there is a discounted rate of only $5 per day!) Homestead Championship Rodeo Get your boots, chaps, and lassoe ready because there’s going to be a hoedown! Cowboys and cowgirls will be gathering in Homestead to participate in the 62nd Annual Rodeo Championship. This Weekend… Hot? Cold? Maybe both! This Saturday Miami is expected to have some cool weather, but it’s expected to be hot, hot, hot in Cutler Bay. So hot, that our local fire fighters will be there! Chefs will be coming from all over town to participate in the 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off. Residents, businesses, community groups, and even chefs from our fire department will be showing off their secret recipes. Free Chili! Community Fun Not a big fan of chili? Harvest Fest Looking for a safe and free alternative for Halloween? If so, Old Cutler Presbyterian Church would like to welcome you and your family to Harvest Fest! Expect the atmosphere of this church sponsored event to be fun, festive, and family friendly. Designed for ages 2- 11 there will be plenty of activities to participate in. Kids’ costumes are welcomed, so dress them up but make sure they can climb, ride and jump around in them because they will be doing just that when they see the Rock Climbing Wall, Pony Rides, Train Rides, and the Bounce house.
