Where to Catch the Best Fourth of July Celebrations in Miami

America’s birthday is one of the best celebrations of the year. So, what better place to spend Fourth of July than the paradise we call home? Families have plenty of Fourth of July events to choose from in Miami, so there’s no shortage of fireworks, great food, and lively entertainment for all ages.

Here are a few of our favorite places to spend Fourth of July in the Magic City:

America’s Birthday Bash

For the largest Fourth of July celebration in South Florida, head on over to Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami for America’s Birthday Bash. This free event begins at 4pm with live music, food trucks, a spacious kids’ play area, and of course, a hot dog eating contest! The highlight is a breathtaking 30-minute fireworks show at 9pm, lighting up the sky over beautiful Biscayne Bay.

Fire on the Fourth

The City of Miami Beach’s annual “Fire on the Fourth” celebration is a fitting tribute to America’s independence. Taking place at North Beach near 73rd Street and Collins Avenue, the festival features a full day of entertainment, including live music, an outdoor disco, a magic show, and even a group of circus performers! At 9pm, feast your eyes on a brilliant finale of drones and fireworks over North and South Beach.

Key Biscayne Fourth of July Parade

The streets of Key Biscayne will be flooded with red, white, and blue for this year’s Fourth of July parade. Beginning at 11am, the parade goes along Crandon Boulevard, from Harbor Drive all the way to West Enid Drive. You’ll see flying jets, marching bands, and a bevy of patriotic floats and decorations. In the evening, the Village Green also hosts a lovely gathering of picnics and fireworks. This year’s parade is extra meaningful, coinciding with the 200th anniversary of the iconic Key Biscayne Lighthouse!

Miami Symphony Orchestra Firework Show

If you love classical music, pack your lawn chairs and coolers for a free performance by the world-renowned Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) at Coconut Grove’s Peacock Park. Led by Maestro Eduardo Maturet, MISO will take the stage at 7pm, belting out a series of American classics before the evening culminates with a stunning drone light or firework show.

It’s worth noting that Peacock Park is within walking distance to various other festivities in Coconut Grove, so you can easily turn this into a full-day event the whole family will enjoy.

South Beach Lady Yacht Fireworks Cruise

As if a firework show over the water wasn’t dazzling enough, what if you could watch the show from the water itself? Your Instagram will be the envy of all of your friends when you climb aboard the South Beach Lady Yacht for an Independence Day celebration on Biscayne Bay.

In addition to a massive firework show, this all-inclusive cruise along Bayfront Park offers a premium open bar, two DJs, a delicious dinner, and gorgeous views of the Miami Skyline. Get ready to party all night and show off your patriotic spirit with tons of zany Fourth of July props!

You really can’t go wrong with any of these activities, all of which are just as awe-inspiring and grandiose as our iconic city by the sea. On behalf of the entire Kern Team, we wish you and your loved ones a happy Independence Day!
