I have quite a few well-qualified buyers interested in purchasing homes in the Village of Palmetto Bay. The problem we have: a lack of inventory, (meaning active listings). In February of this year, we saw the lowest number of single family homes for sale than in any month over the last year. There were only 77 homes for sale in the Village of Palmetto Bay last month, compared to 111 homes for sale in February of 2012. This weekend, January 26-27, Pinecrest Gardens will be holding its 10th Annual Fine Arts Festival. The festival will be open from 10:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Admission to the festival is free! Approximately 60 artists from all over the world will be exhibiting their art throughout the gardens. There will be live music, and an assortment of food vendors. The 62nd Annual Beaux Arts Festival will be taking place this weekend, January 19-20, 2013 at the Lowe Art Museum, on the University of Miami campus. The festival will be open from 10:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will view pieces from over 200 juried exhibitors from around the world, live music, delicious dining options, as well as free admission to the Lowe Art Museum. The Venetian Pool is hosting its beloved “Paws in the Pool” event on Sunday, October 7, 2012. Come on down and show man’s best friend a great way to spend the day in beautiful Coral Gables! There are two sessions scheduled throughout the day; the first for smaller breeds (weighing under 30 lbs), and the second for larger dogs, (weighing over 31 lbs). The first session will be from 10: 00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., and the second session will be from 1:30 P.M.-4:30 P.M. On a day of remembrance, it is moving to see the respect and admiration our firefighters in the Riviera Fire Department, in Coral Gables, have for the fallen and those affected on September 11th, 2001. To our neighbors across the street from EWM Coral Gables at the Riviera Fire Department, we thank you for lifting our spirits today, and for all that you do. As Americans, we will never forget that day, and we move forward together with a stronger pride in our country.
