Coral Gables Mercedes Benz Ribbon Cutting

Congratulations to The Mercedes Benz of Coral Gables, a Bill Ussery Motors Company, on completing their beautiful remodeling and celebrating being a part of the Coral Gables community for 59 years! I had the pleasure of participating in the Ribbon Cutting event on June 7th, along with fellow Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce member, President Mark Trowbridge, the Mayor of Coral Gables, Jim Cason, and a number of other Coral Gables community members and leaders. A huge “Thank you” to all those involved, and especially to The Mercedes Benz of Coral Gables for inviting us to participate in such a wonderful event! 4th of July Fireworks Back at The Biltmore Hotel!

After a five year hiatus, The City of Coral Gables is bringing back the 4th of July fireworks to the historic Biltmore Hotel! A special thanks to key sponsor Bacardi U.S.A, and several others including Del Monte, The Collection, the University of Miami, and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. Coral Gables Restaurant Week

The time is here once again for the 5th Annual Coral Gables Restaurant Week. The event is being sponsored by Bacardi and Kendall Jackson. With over 30 restaurants participating, I have a feeling this will be the most successful year yet! The event began last week with Taste of the Gables. Attendees were provided with dishes from 20 different restaurants, and were asked to pick their favorite. Don’t worry if you missed it, because the Coral Gables Restaurant Week actually lasts for a full two weeks! This event takes place from June 4 until June 17, 2012. I have already had the opportunity to join in the festivities courtesy of a few business luncheons with fellow Coral Gables Chamber of […]

Where are all the listings?

After one of the most successful first quarters in the past few years, we decided it was time to prove to our readers what we have been saying for quite some time: If you are thinking of selling your home, do it now! With the average price per square foot in Coral Gables being one of the highest we have seen in the past twelve months, and inventory being low, our market is fast approaching, if not already in, a seller’s market. Skeptical? These numbers don’t lie! As you can see in the chart above, inventory is incredibly low. A healthy market is considered to have 6-9 months worth of inventory. Below 6 months becomes a seller’s market. At 6.4 […]

1920’s Old Spanish on Granada Boulevard

1519 Granada Boulevard Granada Boulevard is one of the most sought after locations in Coral Gables.  We can’t tell you how often we see people walking down this Oak-shaded street when we are passing by on our way to showings.  In our opinion, Granada Boulevard is the epitome of traditional Coral Gables. Our recently reduced listing located at 1519 Granada Boulevard is unlike most Old Spanish homes in the Coral Gables area.  One of the first homes George Merrick built, this 1920’s Old Spanish has four bedrooms and three bathrooms in the main house, plus an additional building on the property that contains a two story two-car garage with two efficiencies on the second floor.  Sitting on over 11,000 square feet […]
